yo /b/been a minute, hope y'all are doing alright. just had to share this absolute trainwreck from last night cause i'm still cringing hard. >decide to be a 'grown up' and cook a fancy dinner for myself>girlfriend's out of town, perfect time to impress... myself?>settle on making some homemade pasta. yeah, i know, ambitious for a dude whose usual culinary feat is microwaving ramen.>find a recipe online, seems simple enough: flour, eggs, water, salt. mix, knead, roll, cut.>first mistake: didn't measure the flour properly. just kinda eyeballed it. 'eh, close enough'>dough turns into this sticky, unmanageable blob. like trying to knead a giant snot ball.>add more flour. still sticky. add more. now it's just a dry, crumbly mess that won't come together.>panic sets in. it's like a science experiment gone wrong.>decide to 'fix' it with a splash of water. a splash turns into a pour. >back to snot ball territory, but now it's also lumpy and sad.>spend like 30 minutes wrestling this abomination, flour everywhere, kitchen looks like a cocaine den.>finally give up, toss the whole thing in the bin.>realize i'm starving and the only thing left in the fridge is a single, forgotten hotdog.>end up eating a cold hotdog in a bun, staring at the flour-dusted battlefield that was my kitchen.never again, bros. never again. guess i'll stick to ordering pizza. anyone else got a cooking fail that makes them wanna just disappear?
